Requirements:
Must hold a Certified Flight Instructor Certificate (CFI)
Must hold a Certified Flight Instructor Instrument Certificate (CFII)
Must hold a Multi-Engine Instructor Certificate (MEI)
Must hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate with a Multi-Engine Rating
Must have a Tailwheel Endorsement
Must have a High-Performance Endorsement
Must hold a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Class FAA Medical or Basic Med.
Must be able to reliably commute to our office in Loveland, Colorado
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
Have no accidents or incidents on record
Must meet the height and weight mission requirements for the DA-20-C1
Must be available 5 days a week (assigned once on property and subject to change) between the hours of 7am - 5pm
Must be available during select evenings and nights as required to complete nighttime training requirements for students
Must be willing and able to work weekends and holidays

Exceptional at teaching Private, Instrument, Commercial, and Multi-Engine Flight Students
Thorough understanding of FAA regulations

Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills
Responsibilities:
Conduct Flight and Ground Training
Prioritize training for multi-engine students while also providing primary, instrument, and commercial instruction
Assist the Chief Instructor and act as the go-to leader in their absence
Handle 2 hours per day of admin/operations work
Ramp duties to include but not limited to:
Moving aircraft by hand without assistance
Securing aircraft
Clearing the ramp of debris
Answer student phone calls
Respond to student emails
Talk to walk-in customers
Aid in syllabus development
Maintain a clean working environment
Assist co-workers in continuing our mission of creating the best flight school in the country

Travel: Overnight flights may be required.
Compensation:
$36 per billed hour of instruction
5% bonus on top of the billed hours

Benefits: Instructors are classified as commission-based employees. This provides you with certain benefits over being classified as a contractor.

In addition to these benefits, instructors are given a discount on aircraft rental and instruction for personal and recreational use or if they would like to pursue further certifications, ratings, and/or endorsements with us.
Schedule: Instructors are given a schedule of five 10-hour blocks per week from 7am - 5pm. This schedule typically results in instructors billing between 85 and 120 hours per month. Instructors are allowed to schedule training outside of this time with certain conditions to accommodate student training needs. We know instructors are happy when they are busy; we do our best to keep you busy while maintaining the highest standard of safety, quality of training, and adequate rest.
