Requirements:
Must hold a Certified Flight Instructor Certificate (CFI)
Must hold a Certified Flight Instructor Instrument Certificate (CFII)
Must hold a Multi-Engine Instructor Certificate (MEI)
Must hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Single-Engine Land and Multi-Engine Land Ratings
Must have a Tailwheel Endorsement with a minimum of 100 hours tailwheel time (300+ hours preferred)
Must have a High-Performance Endorsement
Minimum of 2000 hours total time and 1000 hours flight-training experience
Minimum of 500 hours multi-engine instruction
Must hold a current FAA Third Class Medical Certificate
Must be able to reliably commute to our office in Loveland, Colorado
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
Ability to work in a high-pace, dynamic work environment
Possess strong self-initiative, proactive thinking, and leadership qualities
Passion for instructing and teaching
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a management role
Excellent verbal and written communication
Ability to communicate effectively within all levels of an organization
Able to take initiative to create, implement, and improve procedures and programs
Able to present to large audiences at high-profile events
Experience teaching mountain flight training in single and multi-engine piston aircraft
Preferred Qualifications:
Military flight experience
Corporate/Airline flight experience
Gold Seal

Responsibilities:
Conduct initial instructor proficiency checks in specific courses of instruction and annual recurrent proficiency checks in compliance with FARs
Supervise the Assistant Chief Instructor, Flight Instructors, and all flight training activities for various airframes and certifications
Stay current on regulatory and procedural changes in the flight training environment
Review flight training program courses and assist with the preparation of course proposals, curriculum updates, and the construction of training programs
Ensure training materials are prepared, maintained, and used in accordance with all regulatory requirements by periodically and systematically comparing these requirements with day-to-day training activities
Review individual student progress with flight instructors to guarantee each student is receiving a quality education
Contribute to improvements in the flight training curriculum by monitoring existing methods and seeking new methods to constantly improve student training outcomes
Act as a liaison between instructors and Senior Management
Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and leadership to instructors
Verify maintenance schedules and coordinate with maintenance personnel to schedule inspections
Handle hiring and firing of personnel
Additional duties as assigned by the President

Travel: Overnight flights may be required.
Compensation:
$55 per hour
Guaranteed pay of 50 hours per week
Not eligible for overtime
Profit-sharing 401k contribution
Required to bill at least 85 hours of instruction per month
